2016 Beeton Run / Walk

for Mental Health In support of:

Last year on September 25th, 2016 we held our first annual Run / Walk for Mental Health in Beeton, ON to raise money to support Jack.org in our community.  Our goal was to raise $6000.  The community of New Tecumseth showed an unreal interest in this cause, and helped raise $20,000 for Jack.org.  We had 220 participants on route, and another 60 spectators.  Since the run, Banting Memorial High School in Alliston has applied for a chapter of jack.org.  They were accepted and the chapter is up and running as of this January.  We have multiple schools in our area interested in hosting a jack.org chapter.  Jack.org is the only national network of young leaders transforming the way we think about mental health. With initiatives and programs designed for young people, by young people, with a goal to end the stigma in our generation, they are a  charity organization with the mission to get the message out to young people.
